ABOUT ME

I have been on this site for quite some time, and have used it to travel all over the world, and meet great people right where I live.

I am a traveler. I lived for 4 years in South Korea, and traveled to Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, Russia, and various European countries :)

I am a teacher. In Korea I taught English as a Second Language to middle school student. I am currently working at a school in a juvenile detention center. I am now teaching science to deliquent middle schoolers. haha.

I love my quiet time, time with friends, and the out doors. I go camping whenever I get a chance. I love reading, I am in English Major after all, and doing art when keep inside during the winter months :)

It is difficult to sum up the world inside yourself, but I hope that helps you get an idea.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have stayed with people in Vietnam, Russia, and have had people stay with me from all over the world while I live in South Korea. For the people I have stayed with abroad, it was always the high light of my trip! I hope I was such a light for those that stayed with me :)

Music, Movies, and Books

As far as music and movies go, my tastes tend to swing toward the independent movie/music business. I like the bands 'TV on the Radio', 'The Starlight Mints', 'Rosie Thomas', 'The Weepies', 'Thom Yorke' and 'Radiohead'. I also like the oldie but goodies such as 'Nick Drake' and 'Live'.

Movies I like, 'The Four Feathers', 'Stranger than Fiction', 'Thumbsucker', and 'The Darjeeling Limited'. Though, I also have a massive dork streak and love movies like Harry Potter, and Lord of the Rings.

Oh and Books. I am an English Major, i just can't get enough of them. I struggle even to name a categories of book that I like because I love them all.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing experience i've had surfing... well, it is hard to choose because all of my experiences have been amazing... ok, my most reicent experience was being taken around Moscow, fed and watered by a wonderful Russian couple. Couchsurfing restores my faith in humanity every single time.
