I'm currently travelling Europe with my friend Luis (the guy in my picture) and figured I'd start actually giving my couchsurfing a try since I am no longer a single female traveler! I currently reside in Plasencia, Spain, where I am a language assistant through the government's Auxiliares de Conversacion program. I like living in different countries around the world, so I've found that being an English teacher is the best way for me to do so. I love languages, dancing, learning about different cultures, and making new friends :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I don't like being a simple tourist in the places I travel to. I like to immerse myself in the culture and try to get a feel for what it is like to live there! That's why I love mixing with locals as much as possible. Thank you to the international student organization AIESEC for teaching me that :) I'm lucky to have lots of wonderful friends all over the world!

Interests

I teach Zumba and dance bachata, salsa, merengue, cumbia, and hip hop as often as I can. I trained in martial arts for 12 years but had to stop when my knee gave out on me. The beach feels like home :) And helping others is my purpose in life!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I earned my 3rd degree black belt in Kenpo by the time I was a freshman in high school. Martial arts was my life before being overcome by injuries. Now I focus my energy on dance!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am happy to lead a private Zumba class with you and friends :) I'm also happy to give you some basic instructions in bachata and salsa! And if you want to practice English, Spanish, or Portuguese, I'm your girl!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share what I've learned from my 5 years of salsa/bachata dancing :) I'm not the best, but a know a few moves. I also like to help around the house and help others practice the languages they're learning!
