PHILOSOPHY
I'm looking for something inside of me, but I don't know exactly what it is ... My philosophy of life is to develop myself in a better person, every day. And spread the best part of me towards others. Understand, respect and share are the keys.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Hosting & Surfing ... once I tried to apply a job as an IT developer for the CouchSurfing website but they didn't pick me :( ... eh, you have to be a super skilled programmer for joining the CS team :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I hosted some people in my place in Italy. My family is always very very happy to get to know new people from around the world: For sure my mum will cook you a tasty pasta, my father will welcome you with a very loud laugh and you will be impressed by my brother's intelligence! yeah, my family is very cool!
I've been hosted by several couchsurfers in Vancouver so far; it has been a very good experience and I got to know many good people! ... oh, and thanks to CS I got to know my girlfriend :) :) :) she's an awesome couchsurfer based in beijing (for now); her profile: http://www.couchsurfing.org/people/fangsu/
I believe this philosophy of hospitality has lot of potential!
Interests
I think the most important things in my life are: people and music. I love music, I play several instruments: the main one is drums but I like also playing guitar and piano. Before my canadian experience I was part of a very cool rock'n'roll holy band; we won also a national competition and we classified 9th position on the world one. Unfortunately now I'm putting lots of effort into other aspects of my life and I have little free time for music so I had to leave the band :(
"People" because I love get in touch with new people, new way of thinking and living life. Maybe this would sound a little bit stupid, but doing good things for other people makes me happy. I have some experience in social field: in the winter of 2008 I was in India for 5 months in a project as a volunteer. It was a very good experience!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music! allright! Chuck Berry, Jimi Hendrix, the Rolling Stones, the Beatles, the Doors, the Hormonauts, Nirvana, Green Day, Neil Young, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Frankie Hi Energy, Miles Davis, the Pink Floyd ( but only the first album, with Syd Barret; I really don't like Gilmour ), BoogalooJoeJones, Pitura Freska, Bob Marley, Alpha Blondy, Aswad, Fredloks Asher, Horace Andy, Max Romeo, Steel Pulse, Beastie Boys, Foo Fighters, Fugazi, Primus, Pearl Jam, Smash mouth, the White Stripes, Fred Buscaglione!, Cake, Ben Harper, Blink182, Artic Monkeys, YeahYeahYeahs, the locust, Indian traditional music, Bjork, Tortoise, Ali Farka Toure, Vieux Farka Toure, Rino Gaetano, Ben Folds, Dan Mangan, Jack Johnson, John Prine, Scofield, SovietRevolver!, Bill Evans, Gene Krupa, JerryLeeLewis, TheKinks, SilentHillOST, Ludovico Einaudi, De Andre', Jovanotti!! ... and much much more ... and, of course, THE KING SIZE!!!
Movies! I don't like so much watching movies but maybe I can tell you some ideas ... the Big Lebownsky, Army of darkness, Woodstok(film), the namesake, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, nightmer before christmas, into the wild ... yeh, Spongebob movie, the final guitar solo is too much!... then David Lynch is good ... ah, I don't know, I'm trying to remember but nothing comes to my mind! I like many type of movies but I'm not a movie-fan!
Books! unfortunately I discovered the importance of reading very late in my life and I can tell you that I've read very few books! the last one I red is "being or having" of Erich Fromm. It's a very good book! now I'm reading "man and his simbols" of C.G.Jung. I like Tiziano Terzani very much! ... Ultimately I like any kind of book that can teach me something!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
whoa, I dunnow! as a traveller I can say that the most beautiful thing I've ever lived is sitting outside of an indian wagon door looking the running landscape and the moon reflected on the water. I was alone, alone with myself, going "I don't know where" in an indian wagon! I felt freedom!
As a musician I played hard-heavymetal-Rock'n'Roll with my band in the final contest of Emergenza festival in Germany, there were many bands from all over the world. So good!!! and so good beer!
As a person I really can't think of anything cause I think I'm a lucky boy and I try to live every moment of my daily life as an amazing and unique moment!
Teach, Learn, Share
You can teach everything you want to me, I'm open to get in touch with different point of views!
Well, what about me, I can teach you the "Johnny Be Goode's double-stop Chuck Berry pentatonic scale" on the guitar if you want!
Then I'm a good drummer, I can teach you how to play a double shuffle rock'n'roll'n'hardkickingass beat!
Then how to cook a good pasta of course, I'm an italian guy!
...
oh, I almost forget: I can also teach you .... the secret of life! :0
