À propos de moi
ABOUT ME
I enjoy yoga, photography, meditation, rock climbing, banjo playing, gardening, and pretty much anything outdoors! I love meeting new people and exploring new places. My goal in life is to empower people and help them heal themselves through my social work, yoga therapy, and mindfulness techniques.
PHILOSOPHY
I try to live by the philosophy of people like Gandhi, H.H. the Dalai Lama, and Martin Luther King Jr. the whole "An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind" type of philosophy but, since no one is perfect, I sometimes do not fully practice what I preach.
I have been inspired by these two Tibetan monks that teach at the University and they have helped me to put my life into perspective and to dive further into Buddhist philosophy. I am still studying and reading as much as I have time to do. I am taking a Buddhism class with them next semester and can not wait to see where that takes me!

Morceaux de musique, films et livres
I just got done reading a book called Off the Map by Hib and Kika which was extremely inspiring and made me even more anxious to leave Arkansas for a bit to travel around and see what I can learn from others that I meet along the road. I am now reading Dharma Bums by Jack Kerouac and trying to finish that before I leave because I am looking forward to reading On the Road. A classic book that I can never get enough of if Siddhartha...ahh every time I read it I learn something new.
For music I love the one and only, Ani Difranco. Her music is inspiring and every time I'm having problems and need to be uplifted I can turn her music on and almost immediately feel better. Other artists I am into are Bob Dylan, Gillian Welch, String Cheese Incident, Regina Spektor, Iron & Wine, Ray Lamontagne and some blues artists like Muddy Waters, Son House, and Taj Mahal. I always look forward to being introduced to different artists though!
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
I've traveled throughout the west coast working on organic farms and visiting loved ones. I have also explored the northeastern part of the states and am excited to live in the southeast and explore that region. I have also been to Canada, Mexico, and Costa Rica. I have loved, lived, and learned a lot.
