About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Making you never wanna leave Montreal (probably won't happen, but I'll give it a shot)
ABOUT ME
Bilingual wannabe writer spending his life teaching litterature and cinema.
PHILOSOPHY
Always be the most original person you can be, 'cause life is like a box of choc... Wait, no.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As our Quebec ancestors liked to do back in the last century, I'll trade a roof for your stories. So, I'm both hosting and looking for hosts whenever I travel, if you're ever available.
Interests
Endless passion for micro-brewery degustation, cinema, litterature, walking, traveling and theatrical improvisation. Also an hopeless Quebec-lover hoping to host you in his really own free country one day, but I'll promess to keep a great deal of esteem for you even if you're a federalist.
Music, Movies, and Books
A few movies : Eyes Wide Shut, Beginners, Beasts of the Southern Wild, Underground, Mean Streets, Manhattan and everything from Kubrick, Miyazaki and Wes Anderson.
A few books : On the Road (Kerouac), New York Trilogy (Auster), Don Quichotte (Cervantes) and absolutely everything from Kafka and Kundera.
A few bands/singers : Sufjan Stevens, Arctic Monkeys, Beirut, Of Monsters and Men, Rolling Stones.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Surviving an american roadtrip that put me in a coma for 2 days and forced me to relearn to walk again during a month. (Yes, I would do it again.)
Teach, Learn, Share
Ready to take you through the secrets paths of Montreal. Nothing forges the trip but the road you take along the way.
« Traveller, your footprints
Are the path and nothing more;
Traveller, there is no path,
The path is made by walking
The path is made by walking. »
(Antonio Machado, Campos de Castilla, 1912)
« Voyageur, le chemin
C'est les traces de tes pas
C'est tout; voyageur,
il n'y a pas de chemin
Le chemin se fait en marchant
Le chemin se fait en marchant. »
(Antonio Machado, Campos de Castilla, 1912)
