About Me

I'm an extroverted introvert, that loves to cook, dance, read, write, does an insane level of yoga, and works out daily. I recently sold all my stuff and moved out of my parents house. I'm currently working at hostel and I'm going to making trips in between saving up to go to Asia in May and South America in September. I've always had the urge to explore and travel, but I haven't been able to get myself to do. I'm finally following that dream and this is my year to go explore the world. I'm Puerto Rican, and I grew up just outside DC in Alexandria, Virginia.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here because for the past month I've been working at a hostel. This experience really change my perspective on traveling and people. I've been blessed to meet people from all over the world. Of course, I want to explore and see new cities, but really it's the people there and the people we connect with that we remember the most. I'm looking forward to meeting and hanging out with awesome people from all over the world. I'm especially looking forward to doing yoga with some awesome people along the way.

Interests

I try to focus on a few things at a time. For 2018, I'm focusing on a book that I am writing about identity and how that effects health and energy in the body. I'm training to run a marathon by the end of the year. I'm doing as much yoga as I can and I am working towards splits. Also, I'm going to travel as much as I can this year. South Asia in May and then South America in September.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm an avid non fiction reader. Favorite three non fiction books are The 4 hour work week by Tim Ferriss, Unlimited power by Tony Robbins, and Man's search for meaning by Victor Frankl.

Movies would have to be, The last samurai, I am legend, Gladiator. I'm actually not that big into movies these days.

I'll listen to just about anything but I'm really into EDM. I listen to a lot of trance and deep house. I typically find a song that I like regardless of genre and I listen to it every day for weeks on end.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

On my 20th birthday, my mom and I went sky diving. It was absolutely wild. I totally recommend it. It'll make amusement parks look like a toy.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach:
Yoga, anything fitness or health related
any tech, finance or business related
Behavioral change and mindset development (NLP)

Learn:
I want to connect with as many people as I can this year and learn from them what makes them happy and tick. I'm working on improving my French and Spanish. I'm also writing a book, so I can use some help there as well.

Share:
Food, experiences, books, knowledge of life, fun times, music, long runs, good vibes. YOGA, lots of yoga.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can do yoga together, we can go out dancing together, we can cook some epic food together, we can exchange good rhetoric on politics, economics, global affairs, I'm quite handy around the house with repairs and technolgy issues. I meditate and do yoga daily and I am always looking for people to yoga with.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Ecuador, Thailand
