ABOUT ME

I like long walks on the beach... (Just kiddin') -and pretty much most other things too! - I look on the bright side of things, 'cause I can... Whenever I realised I didn't want to be a lawyer, I spent a year in Vancouver and worked with kids, cause they're smarter than most adults! -Now I'm a Primary school teacher and I love it! I love music and fun in general... And I think that this Couch surfing idea kinda laughs at the notion that the world's getting scarier and worse. It's not - Bring on the fun!

I'm currently staying with wonderful new friends in Melbourne...First Couch-surfing experience-though not through the website... Exciting!

Interests

-Music - from Beethoven to Led Zeppelin!
-Sports- Rugby, Aussie Rules, Gaelic Football & Hurling... Hell, I'll watch / try my arm at anything from bowls to ice hockey!
-Socialising... I'm Irish!
-I like try try and get to know the real people and place I'm in... Not just the "I'm here to visit" version.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

"Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?!"
-I saved a wee kid from drowning, while on my surfboard once. -Long before that, my Mum saved my own ass from drowning too. Her final words before I went playing on the rocks were (of course) "If you fall in, I'm not going in after you!"

Teach, Learn, Share

I can play and teach guitar (by ear, not with fancy squiggles!)
I am very positive about not gettin' pissed off about stuff... Everyone tells me that.
I am a teacher, so I'm sure I can be either pedantic or helpful, but I also know that you're never done learning - so I'd love to pick up a flavour of other people's attitudes and lives!
