ABOUT ME

Hi, my name is Franklin, I'm a wandering soul and generally a person fascinated with all myriad aspects of life. I've come back to this site after a couple years-long hiatus where I finished graduate school and lived in a one-room cottage in the jungle (sadly, no surfing or hosting took place during this time period).

I'm originally from the USA (FL), although I love to travel (like everyone on this site), and have lived in Latin America, Europe, and Asia. I try to generally be filled with optimism and positivitea and smiles, although I recognize that this is a thing much easier said than done.

I'm finishing a 10+ month trip around the world now, and will be wandering around New Zealand for the foreseeable future. Lets meet up in these beautiful islands!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I really like the entire concept of this website, I find it to be a symbiotic relationship, where it is sharing in both ways, personal growth for both the surfer and the host. I've surfed in Latin America and hosted in the USA. It has never produced a boring or negative experience for me.
