About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My plan is to discover a lot of different, interesting and unforgetable countries and places and combine those experiences by meeting nice, crazy and fun people
ABOUT ME
I'm a social, enthusiastic and ambituous young man who likes to discover a lot of places and get to know a lot of people on this beautiful planet. I love to have a nice chat with someone over a beer, moving and doing plenty of stuff, as long as we all share a great time.
I've travelled in quite a lot of countries so far, but my first and probably not last trip in southeast Asia was really unique and woke up something inside me that makes me want to seek further and live life to the fullest.
I like enjoying the present and build up connections with people worldwide, I feel at home everywhere I go because my home is in my own head. Live every second as if it was your last one!!
PHILOSOPHY
I love to share experiences with others and always try to learn more about life and its different aspects. I try to enjoy every day by picking the positive sides out of it which make me feel better (carpe diem). I like to share my knowledge with others and share thoughts about everything. I think it's interesting to meet people from across the world, because it makes me travel too. All cultures in this world can teach or bring you something, you just have to open your mind and let it in.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm currently living in Beersel, Belgium. It's a small little town just outside of Brussels with lots of green and pretty quiet houses and appartments. I like it here because I can hear the birds singing in the morning and chill out in the evening, that's why I decided to move just a little outside of Brussels. However, it's very close to the center of Brussels, it'll take you maybe half an hour to reach the centre.
Right now, I'm willing to meet new people over here to have fun with. I like having a nice beer with someone, cooking, playing sports, visiting new places, going out and playing music.
I'd love to show you around if I can find some time for that because I work quite a lot, so it's not always easy. Otherwise, we can also enjoy a nice evening together with my local friends over a good dinner so that we get to know each other better.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I went to Japan in 2009 and tried couchsurfing for the first time over there, then I surfed in Germany and last year I met a lot of couchsurfers in Vancouver, Canada. All these experiences were absolutely great. I met a lot of very interesting and nice people who hosted me in different locations and it allowed me to discover these countries in a very unique and unforgetable way. This experience was so wonderful that I totally feel addicted to couchsurfing right now. That's why I decided to start hosting as well in my shared appartment when I'm available.
I've made a great friend in Japan in 2009, his name is Mochan (http://www.couchsurfing.org/people/go_mochan/) and ever since, we meet like twice a year: one month after my trip to Japan, he came and stayed at my house in Belgium. Last year we went together on a trip to Peru and then he came back again in Belgium to attend one of my gigs and we'll meet again this year in Canada, we're both real globetrotters :-) If you want to visit Japan, you definitely have to contact him, he's very active on CS and will show you all the hidden spots you always wanted to see in Japan!!
