Hola!

I’m Franny, a 28-year old English female - I grew up in London and Brussels, and went to university in Manchester and Edinburgh. I've just spent 6 months teaching English in Torino, Italy and before that 2 years travelling, hitchhiking and volunteering (with intentional communities, eco festivals, hostels, farms and families) around New Zealand, Spain, France and Portugal :D Before that...managing volunteering projects in Manchester :)

This summer I'm heading to the Czech Republic and Spain for two beautiful gatherings (the Road Junky Festival of Creativity / Nowhere - European Burning Man) so far...and the rest is still unwritten ;)

I've been vegan for about 6 months and it's one of the most empowering decisions I've ever made...I've very passionate about the potential of human transformation and growth along with personal responsibility.

If a friend had to describe me I believe they would probably say that I am a warm and colourful free spirit…hopefully you can meet me and judge for yourself!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travelling and meeting new people are 2 of my biggest passions. I have loved my experiences of living in communities and hostels, being surrounded by others, making family after family from initial strangers, exchanging joy and skills.

Hitchhiking around New Zealand, France and Spain I met some of the most interesting, helpful, friendly people of my travels and Couchsurfing seems like a similar opportunity to make new friends on a similar wavelength to me that I might otherwise never meet!

Interests

✿ I love to play my ukulele and sing
✿ I'm a Laughter Yoga Leader and am trained in Indian Head Massage
✿ As well as my native English, I speak French, Italian and intermediate Spanish - I love learning new languages and will happily help and study with others who want to learn or improve.
✿ I’m also passionate about spirituality and mindfulness, and have spent my past 2 birthdays meditating in silence during 10-day Vipassana courses!
