ABOUT ME
I grew up in Berlin learning swearwords in German and English, occationally inventing new Denglish ones. Though growning up in the city, I was little tree-hugger child of nature. I love spending my summers in a cabin in the middle of nowhere in Michigan, USA, picking wild blueberries, feeding deers and hiking.
For my parents Berlin meant refuge. Escaping the dull countryside, conservative and narrow-minded families they settled in Berlin. I, in turn, have chosen to abandon Berlin for a few weeks every year and sometimes longer periods to travel. Seeing new beautiful places, meeting new people and learning new languages is somewhat of a drive to me.
PHILOSOPHY
Why are we here?? I'm studying psychology and philosophy, but I haven't figured that one out yet! I believe that by meeting new people, learning more about different cultures and traditions, you can learn more about yourself, your roots and your propose on earth.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
At the moment my couch is under construction, but I would love to show you around Berlin or meet up for coffee/drink. If you're tired of your guidebook recommendations and are looking for the "different" Berlin, let's meet up!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
The first couch I surfed was a 12-meter-long sailing boat. It was an absolutely amazing experience! We travelled along the coast of Norway and Sweden for 4 days. I enjoyed the long light days (allowing me to go swiming at 11 pm), being steering the boat for part of the way and the short downpour allowing us to have fika (teatime) breaks.
Interests
I enjoy to cook for friends and trying out new exotic recipes. At the moment Iâ

Music, Movies, and Books
When I have time to read I'm a read-aholic. My latest favorites are: Giordano - La solitudine dei numeri primi, Murghia - Accabadora, Turgenjew - First love, Walzlawick - The situation is hopeless, but not serious.
Dinner for one is probably the movie that Iâ
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Climbing up a steaming volcano on La Réunion, watching the sunrise at Karnack-temple in Luxor, cave diving at the red sea, trying to push the Tower of Pisa upright, the smell of fresh spices in the souks of Sousse, Tunesia..
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach and share: I'd more than happy to give a yoga lesson! I've been doing yoga for a couple of years now and am currently training to become a yoga instructor. My goal is to a give a yoga lesson to someone else each week until summer. So you'd really be helping me ;-)
Learn: I love cooking, learning new recipes and trying new spices. Could you teach me your favorite recipe?
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would be happy to cook something for you. After spending the summer in Sri Lanka, I enjoy making my own curries and would be happy to share some recipes.
