About Me

Got real Couchsurfing experience during my stay in Germany as an au-pair girl, when I spent a year travelling big and small cities in Europe, especially Germany. I am interested in European civilization, languahe and culture: after lived in an Asian country for 23 years, that's pretty awesome ☺ But still, nothing compared to Asian food 😋

A keen observer of human mind, I finished my studies on psychology in 2017, focusing on cognitive-educational and social psychology. For sure I cannot read your mind, but we can get a lot of hints by observing people around (but dont worry, I'm not a freak!)
I worked for about half a year in my hometown, I was happy to do something other than studying, however the work culture in a company somehow doesn't really fit me. I volunteered in an NGO concentrating on children and women empowerment too, it was so far the best "working" experience I've ever had, but unfortunately one can't live with that, at least in my hometown. So I'm still trying to find my "Ikigai" -  the reason for which I'll get up in the morning.

Right now I'm doing my Masters on cognitive psychology in Kaiserslautern, Germany, a small lovely town.

I write an amateur live-slash-travel journal in http://jardinetlavie.blogspot.co.id/
and take pictures on Instagram @reisefieberrrr (German word for travel bug)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Originally I'm just here for the free couch because my funds are low, but after hanging out a while with the surfers I end up getting much more; trust in humanity, interesting stories, international friendships, and open minded view exchanges 😀

Music, Movies, and Books

Game of Thrones, Star Wars, Sherlock Holmes, and any detective books, those by Paulo Coelho, Murakami, Mitch Albom, Jane Austen, Pramoedya Ananta Toer, John Green, Erich Fromm, Nietzsche, and the list goes on.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Komodo dragon, colorful fishes when I was snorkelling in Belitung; almost drowned in Flores strait also while snorkelling; St. Peter's Basilica (I love every corner of it!), Berlin with a speck of history in every corner of it; a sky with literally thousands stars at one clear sky night in Hennef that I got goosebumps because of that (never seen anything close to it in polluted Jakarta)

Teach, Learn, Share

Languages I'm fluent in, psychological mind tricks, a good company (I'll try to save us from awkwardness) and as an Indonesian, I'm very good at small talks, though I prefer deeper talks because I'm rather an introvert 😂

What I Can Share with Hosts

A good company, optimistic thoughts, Indonesian cooking, playing a bit guitar and piano

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Singapore, Switzerland, Vatican City State

Countries I’ve Lived In

Germany, Indonesia
