Well, I clearly am not Japanese, but currently moved from my hometown Amsterdam to Tokyo and I love it!

ABOUT ME

I consider myself as a cultural junkie. I love modern art, old buildings, lots of different music styles, opera, theatre, festivals and more. I go at least every week to a live concert, movie or play and to a museum or exhibition, and still I have not seen everything in Amsterdam. It just has to much to offer!
So I tend to work as little as possible so I can enjoy my free time as much as possible!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to host and surf, but only with those who are interested in cultural stuff to do. This can be concerts, museums, exhibitions, theatre, opera, lectures, tours, boat trips, and all others interesting spots to explore. However, I must tell you that I work irregular (with nightshifts) and with my full schedule I am not always able to host you! But you can always try.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am looking forward to meet interesting people from all around the world and visit them back some time! I love Amsterdam and all its cultural things to do. There are so many things going on here which only locals know and I would love to share this with you. So I see CS not as a cheap way of traveling, but as an very nice way to really meet locals and learn about there culture and local cultural things to do.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am in love with the Concertgebouw Amsterdam. It is top 3 world wide acoustic best hall for classical music. So I go at least once a month. But I am also a big fan of the Melkweg and Paradiso, which shows a wide variety of different music styles. The only thing I am not a fan of is dance music, probably because I can't dance!
