One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Francisco Vaz, 32, born in Rio de Janeiro, I moved with her family to Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul, which borders Bolivia and Paraguay when I was very young. During the school holidays, I went to Rio de Janeiro, where I practiced surfing on the beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema, OR I traveled to a farm of my family in the Pantanal, where I milked cows and rode on horseback.
Graduated in veterinary medicine, and became interested in photography while studying at college. I always took my analog cameras for a photo safari. In Rio de Janeiro, began photographing the daily lives of slum dwellers. In 2005, I decided to live in London UK for a period of one month, but I fell in love with the city and stayed three months, until the end of my visa. I met several countries near and Wales, Germany, Belgium, Holland, Ireland and France. In 2009 I decided to travel to Scandinavia and Northern Europe, traveled for five months in Sweden, Estonia and Finland where I ended up staying longer. Finally, I went to Russia in St Petersburg, for sure I will return someday.
