About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To meet amazing people who can enlighten me, and with whom I can share experiences. I am chasing epiphanies. :)

ABOUT ME

I am enjoying a bit of freedom from the liberating chains of education. Currently, I am dedicating some time to career development, travel, music, people, etc. I am originally from Peru, but have lived in the United States since I was fifteen years old. Recently, however, I went back to revisit family after twenty years, and it has given me great stories to tell you. Not about me, of course, but about discoveries, epiphanies, forgiveness, love, people, humanity, age, redemption, loss, regret, etc. I am not a protagonist of life, by any means. I am merely an observer, looking to meet you, so that you can tell me how you're holding up in this wonderful mystery we call life...

PHILOSOPHY

Be simple, be authentic, never lose your sense of curiosity, live poetry, put a quote into practice, feed whoever is hungry, love those in need of affection, respect the elderly, be kind to others, protect children, protect the earth and respect it, learn something new and share it, produce something new and cultivate it, be expressive, be sincere, realize that we are all part of one another and that without each other we are lost. Forget the "I" and become the "we" the "us" because life is meant to be lived for the "us" and "you's" I hope to live my life and die having lived all these things...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Had one person stay, so far.

Interests

I am a sucker for 19th century British poetry, 20th century Hispanic Poetry and literature, classical music, opera and everything that is beautiful. I love philosophy and I get caught up sometimes in existentialism, but then, I stop, and play music. If I could do it all over again, I would be a concert pianist. My hero? my mother for her strength, wisdom and for taking the biggest chance of her life coming to the US for us, Beethoven for his ability to play passion onto the piano, Liszt for his showmanship, Neruda for his immense database of words, Cesar Vallejo for breaking the language and forcing it to say what he wanted to say, Bertrand Russell for articulating thoughts I couldn't and my friends, for being crazy, unconventional, lovers of the world and fighters for humanity.
