Présentation
À propos de moi
CURRENT MISSION
keep on moving - physically, mentally and spiritually
ABOUT ME
a bit too busy, at times a bit too lazy or burnt out (evaluations differ on that matter), pretty curious about most things, too bored by some other things and usually pretty patient (I like to believe). I'm a Capoeirista/Angoleiro, and also a vegetarian, don't drink alk, don't smoke - and yes, I'm very fine with that ;) (who ever said you can't enjoy yourself without?)
PHILOSOPHY
Алкогол убийца мечты!
(Alcohol is the killer of the dream.)
I Am That I Am
Nem todo que reluiz é ouro, nem todo que balança cai.
(Not everything that glitters is gold, not everything that staggers falls.)
Μπορείς να ονειρευτείς, μα προσγειώσου ομαλά!
(You can dream, but land softly!)
Everything in moderation, even moderation.
Centres d'intérêt
the human condition and mind, linguistics, infinite diversity in infinite combinations, capoeira angola, cycling, computer stuff, DIY, mutual help, the people's history, discovering bits about the local history of places I visit, the Eastern Mediterranean up to the Black Sea, the construction of identity (and the curious rise of the significance of a national component in it during the rather short reign of political nationalism) and, indeed, Star Trek

I adore Charlie Chaplin and Patrick Stewart and I enjoy much of Woody Allen's work (haven't seen all of it though).
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
Thessaloniki from above
Enseignez, apprenez, partagez
I always find something to learn. Some more concrete interests are riding a unicycle, Portuguese, Amharic, Arabic, Basque, maybe knitting some time. I'd also like to know how to play the guitar, the baglamas (and larger variants) and the balalaika. Of course, there's also always more to learn from and about Capoeira.
Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes
Can teach something about Capoeira Angola, crocheting, can help in setting up nice operating systems, i.e. linuX ;)
I can also share some language skills and what I know about linguistics. I find discussions about the notion of nation and nationalism engaging.
Pays dans lesquels j'ai vécu
Germany, Greece, Russian Federation
