I rented a car with some of my best friends while traveling in Israel and drove through the Golan heights. On the top of a hill surrounded by mine fields and pitted with trenches and bunkers we looked across a landscape of rubble and fields and Syria beyond. Perhaps it goes without saying, but it was pretty heavy.
