ABOUT ME

Okay, so who am I?
My name is Laura, I was born in Germany, grew up and went to school there. I went to the Netherlands to study European Studies for my Bachelor degree and currently, I am living and working in Stuttgart. I have two siblings (brother + sister), recently became an aunt and look forward to move into an apartment where I have room for fellow Couchsurfers again, since my houesemates unfortunately don't like the idea.

I only started to travel outside of Europe when I was about 17, when I finally had worked long enough to finance a flight to Japan (Tokyo, Tsukuba, Kyoto and Osaka). I went to Florida in 2010 to visit a friend's family there and up until now, had the chance to visit places such as China and Indonesia. Still, I am eager to see the world and to learn about all the different places and cultures - both, in my European "neighborhood" and in the rest of the world.

All in all I am a very uncomplicated person, who wants to get to know the world and its people :)

Perché sono iscritto su Couchsurfing

Until now I had only positive experiences with CouchSurfing and I hope it will stay that way. I love to visit new places and to have the opportunity to engage with locals, in my opinion one can only really get to know a place with their help.

Interessi

I am interested in a lot of things, such as:
politics, psychology, philosophy, culture, people,.. Recently, I started to learn longboarding but I have a long road ahead there :D

Musica, film e libri

Hmm like my interests I am also interested in all kinds of books, music and movies.. I am not so much into action movies though, and I try to read a lot (whenever university leaves time for that). Music is of course an everyday companion, even though I don't play any instruments.

I think what I feel is most amazing is experiencing the friendliness of complete strangers in all kinds of situations.

I love cooking! And if you have something you can cook (e.g. your favorite meal or something typical for your country or area) I'd like you to show me if you don't mind. Other than that I am happy to share my stories and to listen to yours!
