What to write to introduce myself properly without sounding strange or just like everyone else?

I'm a nineteen year old girl, just finished school and want to see the world. I love interesting conversations with nice people that go beyond small talk and history and nature are two of my greatest interests.

My friends tend to describe me as extroverted and out going. I do like to get along with others and to learn about people's live and culture.
But in the end I always try to be considerate and empathetic everywhere I go.

My sense of humour falls on the witty, sarcastic and sometimes even a bit dark side, but I do enjoy light hearted jokes and easy going humour as well. So even if you don't get along with sarcasm I can tune it down for you and I'm sure we'll get along.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

After I graduated from an academic high school in Germany I'm now on a work and travel trip with my best friend through Canada.

I hope that couchsurfing will give me the opportunity to get to know the country from an insider's point of view and of course to meet new people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music. It's one of my greater passions. While I don't really play any instrument I enjoy singing quite a lot and you can find me dancing on any concert that's within my reach and budget.
Even though I mostly listen to any kind of rock music from metal to punk to acoustic I can enjoy some good pop songs, jazz, classic or hip hop, too.

As for books my most frequented genre is fantasy but I tend to read everything that captures my interested. You can find crime (especially Sherlock Holmes), historical, young adult and contemporary novels on my book shelf. When I have time and motivation I tend to read a lot.

For movies and series goes the same as for books. Whatever captures my interested is getting watched. Though I do tend to watch things with a witty and sarcastic sometimes even a bit dark humour.
