My name is Franziska, but actually i am always called Franzi. I was born in Cologne, but for my studies I moved to the smaller but beautiful city of Heidelberg. Before I started studying i took a gap year to travel through south america.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I started with couchsurfing for my bagbacking trip through south america (2019) and I had great expreience with it. During my trip I was surprised and pleased again and again to see how many people are willing to help without expecting anything in return. When I travelI don't just want to visit places, i also want to get to know them properly. I want to learn about the culture, the history of a place and most importantly getting to know the people living there and listening to their storys. Therefore in Bolivia and Peru at the markets I often sat down with locals for lunch, but couchsurfing is also a great way to do this.

I love to speak and learn languages. Currently iIwould like to learn and practice some portuguese. I can also teach a little german like for example the most difficult german word; Steichholzschächtelchen ; )
