Moin Moin! I am Franzi. I grew up at the north sea in northern Germany. Back home I studied Business Administration and did my Bachelor degree in Saxony. At the moment I am travelling around Australia to explore the beautiful wonders of nature and meet people from all over the world. I love to connect with people and learn from their cultures and life experiences. My friends back home like to describe me as the mother of the group because I care about personal and life struggling problems and I am the glue that keeps a group together. I don't like to talk about the weather, celebrities or clothes but if you have an interesting story about science, anscient civilisations, psychology and everything that can help you or me to evolve, I'll love to discuss this with you. Besides I like to have some beers together and enjoy the fun side of life :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet people with different cultural backgrounds to hear their stories of life and learn from their experiences. The best way to explore an unknown place is to connect with people who live around the area. The main reason for travelling and meeting people is that I want to evolve. Seeing, learning and doing new things is a gift of life for me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I drove through Western Australia there was this one unforgettable moment for me: first I saw hundreds of kilometres of red dirt and basically nothing around me for a really long time. My thoughts were lost in memories of people and places I already explored. Then there was a hill in front of me. I drove up the hill, getting slower and slower, higher and higher, not knowing what I would see next. I was excited to explore what would could be there in the unknown. I reached the top and the landscape was changing completely. Grass, bushes, trees and more hills at the horizon. It was this one moment when I reached the top, just a part of a second maybe that felt like forever and at the same time like nothing at all. This one single moment of silence. One moment of freedom.
