About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Seeking adventures, mindfulness and freedom.

ABOUT ME

“I am rooted, but I flow.”

- Virginia Woolf-

I find it quite challenging to write about myself, but I would consider myself a curious, open-minded, and socially and environmentally aware person with great interest in the arts and different cultures. I love plants and green is my favourite colour.

I don't believe in borders, I believe that we all are humans sharing this one planet.
I'm not a fan of labeling myself in any way, but I do consider myself political. I'm especially interested in environmental activism, feminism and gender studies.

I guess I'm some kind of communicative introvert; running out of words every now and again, but enjoying the silence inbetween.

I'm a mindful person, trying to practice simplicity each day, and living a balanced and harmonic life in the best way possible. I'm aiming to not feel restricted or captivated by any situation/place/person/etc, but to rather take every moment as it is, and to make the best out of it by means of listening to my body and my mind, and trying to get into a rhythm with nature. I'm a spiritual person, I believe in energies.

I used to study a variety of things (English Literature, Art History, Philosophy, Comparative Literary and Cultural Studies), worked at the opera and at a Youth & Cultural center only to realize that freedom and adventures are the best ways to learn.

If I had to choose one word to describe myself I would probably chose 'creative', as being creative in any kind of way is what I enjoy the most. I'm an aesthete, passionate about all things visually appealing.

I enjoy living close nature, and appreciating healthy living and nourishment. I'd consider myself as being aware of the planet we're living on, and how nature/planet earth can enrich our lifes. For this reason I enjoy living as eco-friendly as possible, to treat nature how it deserves and needs to be treated, and I'm constantly willing to learn more in this field.

One of the things I like most is travelling. I can't imagine something more beautiful than exploring the world we are living on in all its facets, and I can't wait to see all the places I haven't seen before. I enjoy the feeling of being on the road, and satisfying my vagabond heart by doing so.

I'm a very sensitive person and a lover of the little things in life. I enjoy observing things and people, and I love to explore my senses; to feel music in colours and taste food in shapes. To smell sunshine, and touch feelings.

Interests

I like to spend my time being creative, this is why I paint, draw, write, take photos, and do collages. Sometimes I do pottery, as well. I'm passionate about writing and experimenting with language. Theatre (and scenery) is another great interest of mine

Apart from being creative myself, I also enjoy other people's art, this is why I read a lot, listen to music, go to the theatre, opera, concerts & festivals, watch movies, and visit museums.

One of the things I enjoy most is the practice of yoga and meditation. By doing so, I aim to eliminate the control that material nature exerts over my spirit, to rediscover through introspective practise what the poet T.S. Eliot called "the still point of a turning world". I'm a yoga teacher myself.

I like to explore and enjoy the world I'm living in, this is why I love to go for long walks, and enjoy being outside in nature. I'm into gardening, too. I'd like to start growing my own vegetables/fruit this year.

I like to be active, this is why, apart from doing yoga, I'm practicing Hula Hoop Dance. I love to ride my bike, and go swimming.

I like to be alone sometimes, but most of the time I enjoy being around other people, this is why I sometimes sit in cozy pubs drinking beer, or just hang out with my dear friends.

I love to travel to see as much as possible of our beautiful planet earth, to get to know people and to inspire one another, to broaden my own horizon, to learn about myself and to find out what I want to do in life.

I like to cook and to eat good food, and enjoy to be creative with my food. Dealing with good, healthy food (cooking, eating, experimenting) is actually one of the things I love to spend most of my freetime with. I'm a foodsharer, trying to actively fight against the enormous waste of food present in todays society.

I'm very interested in languages, and like to learn new ones whenever there is a possibility to do so.

I used to play the guitar for almost three years, but I was way too impatient to practice, and unfortunately forgot almost everything I learned. I'd love to give it another go though.

Things I'm NOT INTERESTED in at all: sexism, racism, discrimination of any kind, capitalism!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

India!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to say "I've got something in my eye" in Japanese.
I love to share thoughts, laughter, silence and (experimental vegan) food. I'd be happy to teach you some yoga, too.

I can't think of anything in particular which I would like to be taught by others, I just like to get to know people, to get an insight into their individual perspectives on life and the planet we're all living on, and to be inspired by who they are and what they're doing.
