About Me
ABOUT ME
Passionate about everything, really.
I absolutely adore my field of studies - Social Sciences. I can talk about political and social topics all night long. If you're interested in designing utopias and the question of how to make the world a better place, I'm definetely with you.
Same with philosophy.. thinking about reality, identity and the self has brought me in contact with different approaches from Buddhism to spirituality. I'm still trying to put the picture together.. but I feel that all the beautiful people I'm meeting and all the experiences I'm making are helping me to get closer to it.
MY TRAVELS
I started my first trip when I was 19 and took the Siberian monorail all the way from Moscow to Vladivostok. As you can imagine, the journey was so rich and beautiful that I've immediately become addicted to travelling. Since then I've travelled the Baltics, the Caucasus, Iran (twice - what a country!), Central and South East Asia. But as I'm a very slow traveller, it took me years.. and there are still so many people and places to see. I better hurry up a little, haha!
I'm currently planning to visit South America for a few months in 2020 to get to know the culture and.. well yeah, the plants as well.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Meeting people from different contexts, with different lifestyles and worldviews - and to learn from them - has been one of the most amazing experiences in my life.
Unfortunately, due to the awfully brutal housing market in Berlin and my constant travels, I've never lived in enough stable conditions to host people myself. It's a huge pity.. but I really hope it will change soon. I can't wait to give all the kindness back that I've experienced.
Interests
One thing I haven't mentioned yet is my completely irrational obsession with Berlin. I love literally everything about this city; the clubs, the open-airs, exhibitions and artistic places, people from every possible context.. gosh, I even love the dirt. And sometimes the smell. Not on a monday morning though..
No seriously, I've never been to a place where people can express themselves so freely, where there are so many possibilities to learn and grow. I can't wait to see what else I might discover and how much I can broaden my horizons.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music:
Techno! but also other electronic music like deep house or industrial. The more experimental the better.
Oh and I'm a huge fan of independent music like Damien Rice, Ben Howard etc.
Movies:
Independent/arthouse movies are the best. Especially postmodern ones like from David Lynch and Jim Jarmusch
Books:
Joan Didion, Charles Bukowski, Haruki Murakami.. the list is long and very mixed.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Travelling to Kyrgyzstan has been one of the coolest experiences. As I'm really interested in natural ways of healing I first went on a mission to find some living and practising shamans there. I ended up staying with some old, wise women who taught me everything about plant medecine for days.
Then, I heard that the nomands were about to drive their sheep up to the highlands for the summer period - and joined them. One week of riding a horse through the most beautiful landscapes.. chasing sheep, donkeys and some other random animals through the valleys. No words, really..
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm more of a thinker than a maker, haha. I can spend days and nights talking about life. But else.. umm.. my baking skills are ok, I guess.
What I Can Share with Hosts
