About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To meet and get to know people from all different walks of life.

ABOUT ME

I can honestly say that I do what I like to do regardless of what people think, I have a wide range of interests, from heavy metal music, to knitting, basicly, if I think I may like something I try it, if I do like it I keep doing it. I've travelled a bit, and decided I like doing it. First time out of the country was Venezuela and Guatemala, I went as a tourist, and had a great time. I went to Haiti later as a volenteer building an orphanage, and had a much more fulfilling experience. By meeting the locals and focusing on something other then trying to get to the next resturaunt or hotel, I had a much richer cultural experiance, which is why you travel.

PHILOSOPHY

I consider myself spiritual, but not terrible religious, I choose my morals based on logic and what I believe to be right. I'm extreamly optomisic when it comes to people (I'm extreamly optomistic about everything actually), I'm very open to other races, religions, nationalities, etc. The way I see it, all of those differences that, more often then not drive people crazy about one another are really just the things that make people interesting. I'm one of those that believe that your average person is a good person who tries everyday to make good decisions, and live his life well. Mabye I'm too optomistic and trusting, but I'd rather be accused of that then being pecimistic and suspicious.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just want to participate by going places, meeting people, and getting in adventures.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Being brand new I haven't done much, but hopefully that will change as I meet people and get in adventures. I have travelled some in my life, but the last time I left the country was 6 years ago and it is high time I do it again. I've been involved is some local couchsurfing get togethers and so far have loved everyone that I've met, there is such a variety here, but the love of travel and being social brings everyone together anyway.

Interests

I read...alot, I don't watch TV...at all (movies are fine though). I study martial arts. I play guitar a bit (more pretend to), I play the didgeridoo alot, I knit, and I love to cook organic food. I play video games sometimes, I bike (both moutain bike and street bike), I used to snowboard but I screwed up my knee, so that is on hold, I need a new winter sport, so if anyone knows one, feel free to share. I also enjoy hiking a great deal.
