ABOUT ME

"Live and let live" is the credo of my life. Solidarity and respect are the basic values. Working to live and not living to work is very important even if the work is a great thing.
I love to work but I need to rest and I want to see the world. Nature, landscapes and foreign cultures are fascinating for me. I wish I could speak many languages.
Fortunately, I speak English pretty good, unfortunately, I don't speak Russian at all...
I think, every politician should have decent couch surfing experience before allowed to enter politics.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am trying to surf couches and to get to know other cultures, other personalities, at the same time I am glad to build up a positive image of my own country through my stay, the conversation and my personality.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I stayed with Alexey in Vladivostok one night, and it is so different what you can see of a city when you have a local to give you some indications where to go. I enjoyed my stay in Vladivostok so much more because of Alexey and his warm welcome and support. I will always try to couchsurf when in different countries now.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I've been to Moscow in Russia in 1984 when there was still communism. I was 18 years old by that time and I travelled with a group of other young people. It was winter the week before christmas. In our mass media we were told the Russians want to kill us with their weapons and therefore we had to install Pershings in Germany.
When we were in the bus that took us to the intourist hotel, we were the only ones talking since Russian people are very quiet and even sleeping at the bus ride. An old woman asked us if we were Germans. When we nodded she asked us to sing a song in German. After a moment of shock (since we were a normal group and not a chorus) we agreed and chose to sing a christmas song. When we finished the first verse, we noticed that everybody in the bus had opened the eyes, some of them even having running down tears of emotion.
This was a turning point in my life: Never believe media news, specially if distrust and hate against other people or cultures or religions or ways of life is subject of the reports. The news only try to appear objective but after all it is all propaganda following monetary or wrong-lead emotional interests of a few in power.
Always try to get an impression by yourself.
