Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love getting to meet people abroad, and I've had the chance to couchsurf in Berlin and Vienna and go to couchsurfing parties abroad.

I haven't yet been a position to host surfers, but I certainly hope to as my living situation changes over the next year or so. In the meantime, I like to visit with my friends' couchsurfing guests whenever possible.

Music: classical, country, oldies, pop, acoustic- anything really, and too many specifics to name.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

toss up between seeing the pyramids, meeting capybaras in the Amazon rainforest, and sleeping under the stars on a junk in Halong Bay.

Teach, Learn, Share

Okay, so this is a new section where I have to say what I have to teach. Tricky. I think whenever two people meet, each has different strengths and it's cool to learn more about each other's strengths. Lately I've been really interested in history and current events, so I could explain a lot to someone who didn't know much, while I'd have much to learn from someone who has grown up with an interest in such things. Generally, my strengths are in math, music, art, psychology, and working with kids.

Also, my friends hosted some French couch surfers, and we taught them to play Blind Man's Bluff with us in the swimming pool. They were good at it too!
