ABOUT ME

I'm literally occupied by the US Navy, and figuratively occupied by profound thoughts about existence and mortali--- hah! Just kidding, I really mostly think about food, books and wine and how to acquire these things cheaply. I want to learn things, meet awesome people, introduce people to *my* awesomeness, travel, eat, drink and be merry.

PHILOSOPHY

I guess my philosophy is sort of an equation. Increase overall happiness of sentient beings, decrease overall suffering of said sentient beings, to include myself. So basically: I want my life to be tremendously fun and joyful without hurting anybody and maybe even helping some people, if I can.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted, but never stayed with anyone yet. I just moved to a new area for college and am excited to get back in the Couchsurfing game.

Interests

Words and reading, indie folk music with dramatic weepy lyrics, swimming, running, hiking, vegetarianism of the most condescending sort, drinking good wine and rum, dancing badly, talking about science and math (not actually DOING them, just admiring from afar while I wallow in my own incompetence), cooking and feeding people, debating amiably about stuff like sexism and politics and the economy...I'm going to end this with an "etc".

I am a great swimmer, I think I could write your English paper and get you an A if that were legal, I can sing and play the guitar, I can wiggle my ears, and I can fly.

Ok, I can't fly, but it would be really cool if I could. Maybe I should list that as my "mission".
