I had been an software engineer for 16 years, now a high school math teacher for 16 years. I plan to retire this summer and travel the world with my mom before she is too old to travel. I have been happily married for 27 going to 28 this May. I have 2 kids. My daughter is 24 and my son is 18.
Every Thursday night, I will go to Austin Swing syndicate to dance East coast swing. I did that for about 6 years.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are planning on a trip to Hong Kong in August, 2017. It will last till January 2018. We have a trip from Hong Kong to England and a cruise trip to Iceland and Netherlands. After that, we will be traveling close to boarder of China and Hong Kong until late Oct to Shanghai. I will be flying back to USA while my mom will stay with a friend. By late November, I will travel back to Shanghai and fly her to Taiwan for our family reunion trip during December. We will stay at Taiwan for a few weeks and plan our way back home to Austin by January. We have places to stay in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing but not in England or Taiwan.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like Classical music and Jazz but I listen to Pop music and a little bit of everything because of my students. Most of my favorite movies were made by Disney. I like SciFi movies like interstellar and Martian. I don't like to read much but my favorite book is the giving tree and bible.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did Americorp for 1 year name CityYear when I quit Cisco system and before I became a full time teacher at high school. I served my country by cleaning the parks, painting the distress elementary schools, help organized and teach low income students.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach middle school to high school math from algebra 1 to calculus. I can also teach basic swing dance. I will like to learn more about how to travel like an expert before my wife retire so we can do the same thing together.

I come from diverse group of inter racial marriage. All my family members are mixed. I can carry something from TX to your place. I understand technology things well and I am a shopaholic.
