ABOUT ME

I was born and raised on the Belgian countryside. Then eventually I packed my bags and headed to town to study and meet new people.
I’ve been living in Liege for 9 years now, and I must say that I pretty much know all the nice spots of this pretty little cityI work in an office close to my apartment. Among other things, I draw places that will be used to put couches in the future, so that coushsurfers can surf them. (I’m an architect)
My english is not the best, but I’m taking intensive courses and I’m making progresses every week. But don’t worry, we can always manage to understand each other.
I like to travel and as soon as I have a little time and money, I go on a trip somewhere. I like to see the architecture of all the countries and cultures, discover other ways of thinking and other ways of seeing things and life.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is weird and you have to enjoy every opportunity that presents itself, because they often only do so once. (Carpe Diem).
Every experience is one worth living. It’s better to have regrets than remorses.
Most importantly: don’t worry and don’t be annoyed by the futilities.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

People who’d be interested are always welcome to stop by for a while when I’m in Liege. I like to cook and let people taste the good things I’m cooking on my stove. No one ever complained or died after eating at my place, which is probably a good sign that you can trust me. I go to meetings from time to times to meet people and practice my English.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I already hosted a few people and it well really well, although my English was very limited at the time. A lot of couchsurfers from Liege spent time with me and my stove because it’s always nicer to be a bunch of people to share things.
In the past, I went couchsurfing in Australia, Dubai, Brugge, Rotterdam, Peru, Brazil, Finland, Hungary, Austria, switzerland… And all those experiences were really great and enjoyable. The people who were hosting us were really nice and I like them a lot.

Interests

Good question, I like everything that’s architecture related (buildings, town, museum …). I like designing, CGI, 3D animation. I like music and music festivals. I like sport, currently I’m doing some climbing. I also enjoy the occasional walk in the park, movie theatre… pretty much like everyone else.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like rock music, metal, french music. I’m a fan of almost everything… just techno music is not really my thing.
I like funny, fantastic, twisted, dramatic movies (Tim Burton, Jenet, …)
I like architecture books or bookes about design, books from Bernard Werber…

Teach, Learn, Share

I’m always ready to learn because we can only be sure of one thing: that we will never know everything.
