Overview
About Me
I'm a Chicago boy who someone found himself living on the other side of the world! I studied Italian and Classical Vocal Performance and just as you might have guessed these have helped make my life in Germany absolutely 0% more comfortable!
I've been in Germany about a year and I'm taking classes at a language school in town. I'm super passionate about baking and all things dessert but I guess my ultimate goal is to be a translator. Most of time is spent playing games on my Playstation 3 or 4, watching cartoons and action movies, and figuring out how season 11 of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is JUST as funny as the first one!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing because eventually I plan on travelling to more places in Europe and I feel like making an actual connection with someone living in that city is a far more valuable experience than renting an apartment through AirBnB. I want to further develop my language skills by talking to natives and being surrounded by them. There's nothing that seems more boring to me than going to a new city in a new country and signing up for tours with all the Americans and going to all the big tourist-y spots. I'm more interested in what it's actually like to live in that city!

Favorite movies: The Ip Man series and pretty much anything with Donnie Yen, most summer blockbusters, Marvel movies, Pacific Rim, How To Train Your Dragon, How To Train Your Dragon 2,
I don't really have favorite books so much as favorite authors and they are Brandon Sanderson and Tamora Pierce,
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Uuuuuuhhhhh........
Packed up all my stuff and moved to a country where I didn't speak the language?
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach people how to bake some cool things, tie new knots in a tie (I was obsessed with it for a summer), and how to disappoint their father by not playing basketball.
I'm all about learning languages and the cultures that accompany them! Right now I've got a pretty full plate trying to maintain my level of italian while speaking only english and german every day! After I've gotten a solid grasp of the languages I'm studying my next goal is to learn....... Korean!
I'm an incredibly open person and pretty much my entire life is an open book! Sharing stories, secrets, a little bit of gossip, hell, anything really, is how I get through the day!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share a great sense of humor, some baked treats, a few good stories, and maybe a drink!
Now that I think about it I would also be quite interested in sharing recipes with hosts! It seems like a great way to add to my dinner options and what better way to know if something is authentic other than going to the country and getting it?
