About Me
CURRENT MISSION
See a lot of different places, get new impressions and have an open mind, meet awesome locals. Dive into adventures and dig life!
ABOUT ME
Hi there! I am a student from Berlin, I love traveling, and so far I had the chance to live in two other countries, a year in Utah as Au Pair after high school and a year in Montreal as exchange student.
PHILOSOPHY
Communication is important to me and it is usually easy for me to have interesting conversations. You will have to get used to me always asking a lot of questions because that's what matters to me. I am curious and try to get the story behind people as well as places. One uncomfortable situation too much is better to me than staying quiet and missing an interesting conversation or not getting an essential information about something like cultural habits in a different country. I usually try to find a balance between asking direct questions and not being too direct or even impolite.
Discussions are important, and I always try to see different perspectives on certain issues. I am interested in the things going on in the world and I like to tell my opinion, no matter if other people may not have the same.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
The most important thing is to be an easy-going host or a guest with not too many requirements. I try to be as polite and grateful for every experience as possible. I am a proud Berliner and like to share the places that I know in my city.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I did couchsurfing when travelling through the US and I only made great experiences. My hosts sometimes spent the entire time with me and made me meet a lot of friends or showed me awesome places and other hosts didn't have much time to spare, but they were welcoming anyway.
Interests
Coming from the city, enjoyed the mountains, nature and outdoor activities in Utah. I like running, hiking, camping, skiing, mountain biking, football (soccer) and other sports...
Also, I am interested in other countries, cultures, languages and the history of places. I like socializing and getting to know people. It is awesome to discover cultural differences; I have had so funny misunderstandings the first time abroad :-D

Music, Movies, and Books
I love movies, books and rock music. Too many to list them all :-D
Well, here are a couple of them: I like series like house of cards or how I met your mother. Movies such as Into the Wild and books about travelers, North America and outstanding life stories...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Utah and its mountains are amazing! I skied an entire season for the first time and I am so grateful for having experienced thrilling moments on the slope hitting moguls, powder and trees :)
Also, in the US I did things like participating in a musical without being able to sing well and only basic English skills at the beginning. After all, it was a huge success and something extraordinary that I had never done before and will probably never do again.
Teach, Learn, Share
Living in different countries is great. I have lived in Germany, the US and Canada and I have been many times to France on exchange programs and travels. It is always interesting to see that like-minded people around the world often share so many similarities in our globalized world and that at the same time we are able to discover small but sometimes significant differences as well. On a travel in San Francisco, for instance, I learned a lot from an interesting person about living healthy and relaxed despite the dynamic life in this crazy city... I like the Couchsurfing motto that traveling is the only thing you pay for and that makes you richer.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would be glad to share perspectives and stories from pretty much every interesting and controversial topic that I can say something about. It is also nice to hear what other people's plans and projects are, what propels and motivates them in their lives.
