Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love having guests when I have space for them, and I can't think of a better way to experience a new city than by staying with a local :)

Interests

Learning about things and making things is the concise way to answer this. Here is a sampling of some things I have dabbled in: bee keeping, boat building, sailing, alternative building methods like adobe and rammed earth, and silk screening.

I also like social dancing. Salsa and Argentine Tango are what I am currently involved in, but I have done a tiny bit of ballroom dancing as well.

Music, Movies, and Books

Salsa, bachata and Latin dance music are my grove right now.

The Count of Monte Cristo, Big Hero 6 and Despicable Me are some movies I like that come to mined.

I tend to read informational books like "How Learning Works" or "Clean Code".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I built a sea kayak from a kit I got for Christmas one year. Too bad there is not a sea in my back yard...

I can teach you to dance Salsa! Its a lot of fun :) If you want to learn how to program in python I can help with that too.
