About Me

CURRENT MISSION

that's a damn hard question.

ABOUT ME

A person moved by music!

I did an exchange program in Helsinki from August 2013 to August 2014, and it was amazing! Living abroad, meeting people from all over the world and traveling around definitely made me change the way I look at some things in life. Now I'm back to Brazil to finish my Master. Hopefully I'll be abroad again to continue my studies.
I'm sure though that I still have a lot to learn and to share throughout these upcoming years, after all, we're not immutable, right?
As I said before, music has a big role in my life. I can play the bass and a little of guitar, and always when I can, I'm listening to some music. That definitely makes me happier!

PHILOSOPHY

If you have to learn the hard way, so be it!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been hosting some people recently, and I haven't had any problems at all, so I can say that Couch Surfing really works! I totally recommend it ;)

Interests

I love playing bass and guitar. When I can, I listen to some music, and recently, I'm discovering how wonderful travelling is! This is my first time abroad, and I'm sure I'll keep this spirit when back to Brazil.

Music, Movies, and Books

About music, I'm open minded. I won't list here all the bands I like for obvious reasons, but it goes something like Angra, Metallica, Foo Fighters, Dream Theater, Stratovarius, Devotchka, Ewert and two Dragons, Dirty Loops, Gogol Bordello, Seu Jorge, Tim Maia, Jorge Ben, Móveis Coloniais de Acaju, Los Hermanos, Radiohead, Jamiroquai, Daft Punk, Disclosure, and THE BEST BASS PLAYERS: Victor Wooten and Jaco Pastorius!

Some movies I really liked: Requiem for a Dream, Pulp Fiction, La Vita è Bella, Jackie Brown, Django Unchained, The Book Thief, The God Father I and II, Inglourious Basterds, 21 grams, Reservoir Dogs, The Hobbit I and II, Monty Python Search for the Holy Grail, Caramel, Donnie Darko, Into the Wild, Schindler's List, Taxi Driver, and others.

Currently, I'm reading "Freud: an Introduction to his Life and Work". Last books I read were (all of them in Portuguese): O Segredo de Frida Kahlo, Gota D'água, Secreções, Excreções e Desatinos; Maíra; São Bernardo; O Recado do Morro; Papéis Avulsos.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So far, one of the best things I've done was to decide to go for this exchange program! I'm learning a lot through this experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm not an expert, but I can teach something about playing bass!
Also, I can tell a bit about Brazilian culture, and share my experience in this almost 1 year of living in Finland!
I'm surely interested in learning about different cultures and habits.
