Hiking is the best way to explore a country. You can see places where no cars, buses or cycles can come . You absorve the surroundings to the fullest.

Hitched and hike around New Zealand for 15 months / Australia 12 months / sweden 1 month / Norway 4 months / Scotland 4 months / Ireland 2 months/ Iceland 4 months/ Germany/ Italy Poland/ Spain/ ..did some hitching around south east asia. ...spended a lifetime in Nepal.

planning a new backpack trip starting from the end of october. people who have experiences with Alaska, Canada and or Greenland get extra credits. noo i am not interested in the stuff i can find in a rough guide or lonly planet. I need the real shit 😃

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Buying a backpack was my biggest lifechanger. Using my thumb my biggest adventure.

I think i slept the last years on 1000+ wild places with my tent. From very remote mountain ranges to forgotten beaches. From stony dry deserts to soft wet rainforests.
From waking up in blizards to waking up under northern lights.
