Lindy Hop Dancer, volunteer tour guide, bicycle tinkerer, IT guy, ...

I love to travel, have spent quite some time doing the classical backpacking tours. This time, I'm going for something more adventurous and will travel the Silk Road to China on bicycle by myself.

Dutch, English and French have little secrets to me, I understand most German but speaking it is hard.

The lindy hop scene is a very warm scene, we often host each other when travelling abroad. It does happen outside of the Couchsurfing/... networks, though, but I'm used to it.

My trip is about going out of my comfort zone, getting new ideas, ... so meeting up with locals is perfect for that. I quit my job for this trip, so the low-cost part of it is a plus of course. Did I mention 'honest' in the About Me?

I'm a reasonably advanced lindy hop dancer, I can share some moves :-)

The bicycle I ride was built from scratch by myself, so I do know a thing or two. I'd gladly have a look at your gears, brakes and anything else that needs some fixing on your bike.
