Overview
About Me
I am a open person, very interested in various things and easily to fascinate by the stories of the people I meet. I like to discover and explore the thinking of differently-minded people. Politics, Science, Philosophy, Religion fascinate me equally. Whenever I have the chance to practice some of my language skills I do so.
CURRENT MISSION
International Relations? - I not only study it, I live it! Currently living in a shared flat with 5 different nationalities and studying at a university with from over 100 different nations.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
In my home we already hosted people from Netherlands, United States, France and South Africa - plenty of great experiences! Plus, we had different guests living for us for longer time from France and Russia. Getting to know people from other countries was generally a very good experience and Couchsurfing is the best platform to meet them.
Meeting locals from any place is probably the best way to get to know it. As I somehow dislike the conventional all-inclusive-tours, CS is the ideal chance to meet strangers in a new city and still feel like at my friends' place. The experiences I have made until now were overwhelmingly great. In Bonn I was working as a touristical city guide, if you happen to meet me there I can give you a tour around the center!
Interests
I love to play piano/organ and learned to play the guitar. I go swimming, like to learn languages, played chess for a while and love to go dancing salsa & bachata. I specially enjoy to talk about different topics including politics, science, philosophy, religion, learn new things and meet many people!
Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Memento, Matrix, Inception
Books: Animal Farm, To Have or to Be? and of course Die 13½ Leben des Käpt’n Blaubär
Music: Salsa, Bachata.. - Que viva la musica latina!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have been travelling in South America for a while during my stay in Ecuador. Mountains, lagoons, volcanoes, deserts, rain forests, cascades, rivers, nature... it was amazing to travel by hitchhiking in the desert of Northern Peru on the back of a bulky waste truck, sleep there at night between all the things and wake up in the morning seeing the dunes in the dawn :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Most importantly: time! The most valuable thing in the 21th century.. :)
