About Me
Hi everyone!
My name is Frederique and I'm from Quebec City, Canada. I'm actually studying journalism at the Training Center for Journalists in Paris (CFJ) and I sometimes take advantage of my weekends to travel around France.
I would say I'm an easy-going and open minded person who likes to discover new places and to meet people. I like to learn about new cultures, so tasting traditional meals, going to cultural events or holidays, learning some expressions and words in different languages are all things I love to do!
I simply want to live the local lifestyle with my hosts and chilling with them is also something I enjoy doing.
I like to sing and I wish I played guitar (I'm learning it!).
Sports and cooking are other hobbies I practice a lot and that I'm always willing to do with my hosts!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think couchsurfing is the perfect way to visit a country, to know more about its culture and to meet locals with whom I can experience the local lifestyle!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've already been at less than 5 meters from two blue whales that were lost in a bay with their baby...I think it's the biggest thing I've ever seen and surely one of these moments I felt really small and vulnerable in my life, that was incredible!
Teach, Learn, Share
"Life is about experiencing all the things you find interesting and fascinating. Just get out there and experience as much as you can. Participate in life." - Louis Zamperini
What I Can Share with Hosts
I will share my culture with my hosts with pleasure and I'm expecting to know more about their own too. I like to learn new things so cooking local recipes or exploring the place with my hosts would be a pleasure!
Talking with them about anything, sharing funny moments and adventures that we've experienced and just chilling is another thing I like to do :)
