Hi! I'm Fredrik William from Norway, pleased to meet you! After this summer I have a gap year in which I intent to travel to South America, learn Spanish and meet lots of amazing people! I'm interested in volunteering, backpacking and trekking, surfing and.. really just anything:)

Growing up in two different countries (Norway and China), being multicultural has always been an integral part of who I am. In high school, I took an exchange year abroad to USA, which was an amazing experience. I have a pretty open-minded attitude toward most things, people, food and all sorts of experiences. Some of my most cherished memories are with people I've met abroad, and I'm looking forward to sharing nice moments with you.

After my gap year, I'll start pursuing my master's degree in computer-science, so I'm really looking to kick it out before boring (just kidding it's quite interesting) academia takes over my life...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet authentic people and culture, and get to know them in a genuine way. I think couchsurfing teaches more about the local culture than a hotel or even hostel does, which is why I'm eager to try it out!

Music, Movies, and Books

The best music is that which matches the atmosphere and vibes, but I especially enjoy indie and pop, and artists like Daft Punk, Tame Impala, Coldplay, Kid Cudi and Kanye.

My favorite movies are "Interstellar", "The Worst Person in the World" and "Grand Budapest Hotel". Used to be a Marvel fan but they fell off...

I like reading non-fiction books like "Sapiens" by Yuval Harari, and also Sci-Fi and fantasy like "Dune", "Game of Thrones" and stuff like that. Good stuff. Also a interested in philosophy.
