About Me
A few years ago, I quit my job and did something that I always wanted to do: go on a solo road trip across the USA. I spent about two months traveling. It was pretty ambitious for me, because I tend to like my creature comforts and familiar routines, but the whole idea of this trip was to get me out of my comfort zone. I ended up driving from Washington DC to Austin, then on to San Francisco, up to Seattle, then back to east coast, stopping by Chicago and Pittsburgh. I returned to DC the first weekend of May. But that was the trip that got me started with Couchsurfing.
Currently I'm working at a nonprofit in downtown DC as an all-around web guy and content producer (my official title is "Webmaster & Digital Storyteller"!) I just moved to a new, much bigger place and I'm still getting settled.
I'm Korean-American but I don't speak much Korean. I wish there was a good Korean BBQ place in DC but so far I don't think there is one.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I was fortunate to meet some very gracious hosts in my travels and I'm hoping to pay it forward.
Interests
I really enjoy listening to and playing music. I play a few instruments, mainly guitar, but also drums, violin, and piano. I play in a band (@trajectoriesdc on Instagram) I love teaching others how to play and meeting/hosting other musicians!
I enjoy making videos, and I wish I could make more. Here is one I made during my road trip last year: https://vimeo.com/126875040
And I've always done a lot of work with computers, whether it's web programming, blogging, graphic design, video editing, and recording music.

Teach, Learn, Share
I enjoy playing music with others, or teaching others how to play guitar. I also shoot and edit videos both for my work and also as a freelancer, so I'd be happy to help you with any video projects you may have.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'll buy you a drink or a meal! Or, see above.
