Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed on my trip to Italy with fabulous people and have met several people over coffee, walks, movies through hospitalityclub and hosted quite a few people from all parts of the world at my home in Noida, Gurgaon Pune, Kolkata, Lucknow - have hosted people from America, Europe, South America, New Zealand. Its been a very enriching experience interacting and getting to know so many beautiful culturally diverse people.

Am a major movie buff...like all genres (except horror). Am passionate about music (listen to a lot of western classical and everything else).. Love reading. Teach, Learn, Share

Can share my knowledge on whatever I know. Can teach you indian recipes and indian cooking. Want to learn new languages (havent started as yet, but have would like to know french, spanish, italian).

What I Can Share with Hosts

I took up photography, self taught, 9 years ago and became pretty good at it. 6 years ago I started doing paid photoshoots and now I teach photography. Those people I have clicked say I take amazing people portraits. I also love to click landscapes, heritage architecture, slice of life moments. I combine my love for exploring, culture and photography by doing custom shoots in natural outdoors.
If you were couchsurfing with me in Lucknow, I would love to have conversations with you on all things of mutual interest. Lucknow is a Historic city - also called the Constantinople of India, Shiraz-e-Hind and golden city of the east - the city of nawabs and kebabs (and Biryanis!), of architecture and history, of Urdu poetry and drama, of literature and culture, of chikan embroidery and zardozi, of performing arts and 'tehzeeb'. I could create a bespoke itenerary for you for exploring the city. And if you wanted to learn how to take better photos, I could even teach you, at a cost, the fundamentals of good photography (which has nothing to do with an expensive camera. A smartphone with a decent camera is good enough). If you wanted my company while exploring the city, I could join you, provided I was free, and tell you all about Awadh's rich history, architecture, nawabs, crafts, food, embroidery, perfumes, people, things to do, places to visit and more, while also take amazing photos of you, which will have your friends saying, 'I want to go here too! '
