About Me

CURRENT MISSION

live without dead time

ABOUT ME

Laid back, adventurous, eclectic and passionate about people and equality between them.

PHILOSOPHY

Nothing to excess, the middle path, etc. this is my guiding principal through life. I stand firm in a belief that there are things I don't understand, and can still learn as long as I keep myself open to other opinions and cultures. It's provided great people, food and music so far! However, this philosophy is limited by a belief in human rights and freedoms as long as they don't infringe upon other peoples rights and freedoms; as well as a dedicated stance against violence in any form. We all have to share this wonderful world, right?! This is where I draw my line in the sand.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been a hosted and surfed countless times now, and have I come to believe that this is one of the best ways to truly share culture and promote international exchanges of ideas - and that's not even mentioning the travel experience. I have met some great people, and am thankful to this community for allowing that to happen. CS is the best.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When I tell people about couchsurfing I tell them about hosting with Ryan Pinder, an old roomate. When we lived together I didn't know the community existed but had always had my couch available to friends visiting and friends in need.

However, when Ryan moved in the place became an international hostel. Almost every weekend we had people staying on our 3 couches, from every country in the world and it was a truly great experience. I've been a member of CS ever since!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Having to give the right of way to a herd of Elk in Jasper, Alberta - very humbling.

Teknival in a bio-reserve in Romania. It felt like I'd gone back in time, and witnessing an alien spaceship landing (very cool)

Jogging down "the Cubans beach" outside of Havana with a friend. Amazing what a beach looks like when it's not made for tourists.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Canada, China, Cuba, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Sweden, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
