I am Freek Teunen, student Creative Technology in Holland. I have lived here my entire life and enjoy my student time very much. At the study we learn how to combine technologies to create new products. Next to fact that I am a little nerdy as a technology lover, I really like to be an entrepreneur. I have multiple projects running simultaneously and I get very excited with new concepts or projects.

I like music and films. The latest one I have seen is Rogue one, La la land and I have seen some series on Netflix like Designated Survivor, Stranger Things and I love Friends, HIMYM and Californication! Best series: Stranger Things, I cannot wait for the new season to arrive. :) Next to that, I love science fiction films.

Earlier in life I always went on holiday with my mother, mostly city trips. This summer I wan to undertake an adventure with one of my friends from the study and we want to experience America through travelling, camping and hopefully through couchsurfing!

Next to my love for movies and series, I am a big Tech fanatic, especially for Apple products. The newest toy I got is the MacBook Pro with the touch bar feature. I don't know exactly what to think about the entire laptop, apart from the fact that it is way too expensive for price/quality. However, I love the new keyboard, touch bar and the well designed Thunderbolt port.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because me and a friend from the study want to travel America next summer in 2017. We are in an adventurous mood and would like to try out the couchsurfing opportunities!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been a board member of the study association of our study and during that time I have organised lightsaber workshop. During the workshop, 30 students worked an afternoon to create their own lightsaber, made from led strips. Afterwards we fought with it during a martial arts training.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a very positive person and I can share a lot of experiences with Holland of course. Next to that I always like to think about concepts and ideas, so if you are a creative person I would very much like to help you out with an idea of yours.
