CURRENT MISSION
Provide a clean & cosy place as a base for travelers to enjoy the Gold Coast.
ABOUT ME
*English version follows*
Me creo española.
Si algunos locos quieren juntarse conmigo estáis invitados.
*English here*
I'm a loud-spoken introvert. Words never spill out my mouth without having done 10 laps in my head. That said I become absorbed being around people, hearing different accents, and collecting stories. Each encounter is unique, because we meet for a reason.
I usually get up around 4am and leave just before sunrise to catch the view. You are very welcome to join the quest.
As to where I'm from... I believe I'm Spanish. Born in Iowa, raised in Taipei, grew up on the Gold Coast, I speak fluent Spanish with a strong Madrid accent.
PHILOSOPHY
Learn like you'll live forever; Live as if you'll die tomorrow.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Offering my love and warmth to the surfers that come my way... In a more-than-hippy way.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
For the 25 days I stayed in Spain, I met many genuine people who welcomed me into their homes, told me about their local culture, where to eat, go out of their way to assist in my stay and gave me many useful advice on what would otherwise lead to unfavourable outcomes. Hope I am able to provide this if not more to the rest of the community.
Interests
Conversation with people, I enjoy playing around with words and ideas as well as climbing (anything, including the roof, trees and other roadside obstacles) and running around. Martial arts are interesting. I used to train professionally in pole vaulting and athletics. Now I dedicate myself a few minutes/hours a day to contortion. Oh, and also pretty much anything spoken or written in Spanish is intrinsically absorbing and eerily magnetic to me.

Music, Movies, and Books
I am really not picky with music or books, but be ware that it is rare I am able to strike up any sort of meaningful conversation about movies.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The moment I climbed up the walls in Granada to watch the sunset with a group of Makuteros. It was magnificently humane and when someone finally turned around, there was the moon on the other side of the wall, peaking at us in the valley. There were the two moments in the one hit!
The other one is my first climb at natural rocks. I reached the top and felt a sense of achievement from a successful first attempt (it was either success or death) and breath-taking fear at the same time because now it's a whole new level trying finding a way down...
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach, hmm? I guess after years of studying psychology there is something to be offered. I can teach you to read minds... Or if you have a psychology background and have disappointingly found out the truth yourself, I do have some personal insights into applying random, interesting facts into good daily use.
I go after opportunities for learning like dogs go after treats-- therefore it's up to you what you want to teach! If you like, I am especially interested in languages, origins, sayings, the culture inflected, and perhaps the history and context to back up why you say what you say.
