About Me

ABOUT ME

Hi you guys, my name is laura and i'm 23 years old. Wow..that's the most boring way to start describing myself..but i really can't think of anything better right now ;)I've already been travelling a lot and there's nothing in the world i enjoy more than getting to know different cultures and ways of living.Because in the end you'll find out that every single way of living and every culture has so much potential. I hope one day i'll be able to put all the good parts of different lifestyles together and use them for myself.I've just finished my studies here in Munich-Germany. So now is the time to travel again. I'm really looking forward to meeting you guys and see different places, the ones you call home, through your eyes.I think it's awesome that this website gives us the possibility to stay with locals while travelling - it's the only way to really get to know the way of living in different countries. I would describe myself as a really layed-back kinda person. I don't need any luxury or glamour, i just go wherever life takes me and i'm more than happy at whatever place i end up at. And of course my couch in Munich is always free for you guys as well. Looking forward to having one or more beers with you. :) Cheers

PHILOSOPHY

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely
in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways -
A beer in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up,
totally worn out and screaming, "Hell Yeah, What a Ride!"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't had any Couchsurfing experience yet. While traveling i mostly stayed with friends, hostels or in the car or tent ;)

Interests

The last 3 years i've studied mediamanagement in Munich. Now, that i've finished, i've got a lot of time to myself. I mostly use that time to meet up with my friends, go hiking or plan my next travel. Sometimes i'm even planing on travelling although i know that i can't afford it at the moment...so i just dream ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

Honestly, i don't understand why i would have to choose. There are so many differnt styles of Music, and they are all great. I do prefer layed-back music tho, like Jack Johnson, Ben Howard or James Morrison. And i love books, anykind! It's just great to be able to leave reality and find your self in a whole different story.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There where so many moments leaving me breathless. Most of them actually happened while travelling. One of them happened in Australia. I was travelling with my best friend and in the middle of nowhere we picked two hitchhikers up. One of them was australian and he took us to a good friend of his. We had no Idea where he was taking us, so we just drove and drove and drove. We ended up in the Jungle...there was nothing but one house. When we got up in morning, we had breakfast made out of all the fruits growing around that house. Every thing was just so natural and beautiful. It was one of a few places that really gave me inner peace. Another breathtaking moment was my skydive in NZ/Lake Taupo. I felt so strong after jumping out of that plane and just flying above everything...it's been an awesome moment. Goodness, there have been so many beautiful moments, i could write a book about it. But that would be a liitle bit too much for now. And it probably would be a better idea to write the book once i'm 60 years old, because i really hope there will be so much more great moments in my life.:)
