ABOUT ME

I always find it very hard to write a fair description of myself ... I think I'm a nice, friendly, fun person, but doesn't everyone think that about themselves? I like good food and passionate people, and don't like bigots or getting mosquito bites. Surely that's enough to build a friendship on?

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted and surfed, with excellent results on both sides, and met some of the jewels of the earth - people whose very existence makes the world a better place.

Interests

I love to be outside! Anything that will get me out in the sun is something I'll be interested in. I've always loved canoing (canoeing?), swimming, camping, hiking, biking, running, and in the winter, skating and cross-country skiing. Also relaxing with a cup of tea and some friends.
I also love quiet time with my guitar, playing Joni Mitchell or Paul Simon or songs my stepfather Tom Lips (who's a really awesome folk singer/songwriter, check him out!) wrote.
I will occasionally pull on the oven mitts and bake something, I am a huge fan of the vegan recipe site Post Punk Kitchen (conveniently found at http://www.theppk.com/recipes/), they definitely have some really good can't-tell-they're-vegan recipes.
