About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I plan to live forever, of course, but barring that I'd settle for a couple thousand years. Even five hundred would be pretty nice.

At the moment I am living in NYC.

Interests

I LOVE music and especially live music, so if you are interested in the same kind of music I am (see www.last.fm/user/non-musica) then we will surely get along.

Music, Movies, and Books

Geez, I could sit here all day and write about music and books. I'll try to keep this brief ok?

Music - anything with a bit of heart in it, anything weird and with a few good riffs thrown in. I liken my musical tastes to a party thrown by GG Allin. Sure, you might be intrigued, maybe even a little turned on, but sooner or later you'll just end up leaving, confused and full of self-doubt. Ok sorry, that doesn't really tell you anything so I will just list the damn artists: Animal Collective, At The-Drive In, Jimi Hendrix, Faith No More, Led Zeppelin, Alice in Chains, Mr Bungle, and many many more. Seriously, if you like anything weird and well-orchestrated there will never be a silent moment between us.

Books. Well, I wish I had more time to read. I am trying to finish of Gravity's Rainbow by Thomas Pynchon at the moment, the book is monstrous! I enjoy dystopias, epic tales of objectivism, philosophical treatises, and other obnoxious, self-adsorbed wankerisms.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was biking home one time at around 3am, through a neighborhood that's typically quiet at that time of night. I had a light on the front of my bike, but it only illuminated the road in front of me, not the houses to my side at all.
As I passed a seemingly sleeping house, some Japanese dudes that were in the driveway suddenly turned a light on, put up 'rock on' hands at me, and one of them said "hyaaaaa" in a really high pitched voice. Then the light turned off leaving me no choice but to keep biking as if nothing had happened.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well I studied geology at uni, so ask me about rocks I guess. Most of them are pretty old. Like, hundreds of millions of years old. Don't listen to fundamentalists who tell you the Earth is 6000 years old, because I have a rock in my room which is two billion years old. Take that!
If you give me some advance warning I can probably tell you in horrifying and excruciating detail the geological origin or your home.

Now I work in infosec and help people secure their cybers by showing them how insecure it is.
