About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Seeing the world in colors, printing it in black and white.
ABOUT ME
I had to give up on my lemon printed rain boots but apart from this I haven't changed much.
I am back living in Paris after working/living abroad. I am still part of an etching print and analogue printing studio. I am eating pretty much any kind of food possible, eating vegetable noodle every Friday, watching three movies in a row when I can, brewing tea on rainy days.
When not in Paris, I am most probably on a train going to somewhere unknown or swimming in the coldest waters.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
For the same reason as you...Meeting, talking, sharing, sleeping, traveling, living...
Interests
I'm interested in a lot of things:
-basic things: eating good things, sleeping, running, swimming, looking at everything...
-classic things: laughing with my friends, cooking for/with them, talking on the phone with them, giving them my favorite books, reading in my red couch, painting, writing, stitching, etching printing, cooking myself a soup for the week to come (caulliflower and zucchini soups are the best)
-Things I wish I could do more : speaking foreign languages, travelling far away and coming back...
-Less common things: Spending hours etching a clown fish at 2am in the morning, swimming in an 8 degrees water (in the Danube in November if possible), visiting ceramics workshop, being fine arts prints, complaining I don't have any money left, eating Afghan foods.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books written by foreign authors. One of the best way to get imersed on a different culture when being stuck at home. (Ivo Andric, Andrus Kivirakh, Ismail Kadaré, Jon Kalman Steffanson)
Old American tunes from the 50s. Black female artists. (Dinah Washington, Aretha Franklin, Ella Fitzgerald, but also Ayo, Ala.Ni, Jorja Smith, Arlo Park)
I can't survive not going to the movie theater three times a week which can give you an idea of how many films I can watch in months. Any kind: French, Foreign, big production, small budget. But no horror movie.
Meanwhile I am trying to keep up with all the old movies that came out in the 40s/50s, that I missed when not being on earth.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Diving with basking sharks among purple jellyfishes in Scotland.
Surviving a monkey attack in the Yellow Montains in China, at dawn.
Living five days on a train when crossing Russia on the transsiberian.
Gathering cows in the early morning in Western Mongolia.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm willing to learn absolutely anything. Cooking, a few words of a new language, a sport, an art form, a poem. Anything.
As for me, I can teach how to recognize birds, which won't help you survive in case you're lost but would still give you something to do while waiting for the rescue team to arrive. I can show you how to knit, stitch, paint a ceramic, embroider, print an analog picture, etch and cook a risotto.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Talks, food, walks in the city, a movie. Going on a hike, a dive, a swim.
