About Me
"I'm for truth no matter who tells it. I'm for justice no matter who it's for or against." Malcolm X
Hello everyone!
I am a passionate traveler and an english high School teacher, I live in Avignon's City center.
My first love is teaching: I am in love with my job. I wake up everyday happy to go to work and I always feel sad when the last bell rings.
I learned the hard way that life is too short and that what really matters is what you do for others.
That's why I love getting involved in helping others that's why I worked two summer with the Camp America program as a special need counselor helping children and adults in a special need camp in order for them to have the best holidays they could have.
To make them having the best time of their lives despite their handicaps.
I lived in the UK as a French teacher in High School and then in the USA where I was working for the US Department of State being a Fulbright professor teaching french at the University of Arkansas in Fort Smith.
I also travelled to Ethiopia twice and created a charity to help Orphans by providing school supplies to them. The school supplies were offered by my students in France. This charity raised awareness around the city of Avignon and many press articles were written about it in the local newspapers.
I am looking for other partners now in Africa to expand it. A new Charity Trip is therefore planned for August in the Subsaharian region.
How would I describe my personality: I am a very nice person and very very sociable and talkative, to be honest I talk a bit too much... But well... I'd rather be too talkative than not talkative at all. ;)
I have a lot of space in my flat that I share with an awesome room mate Eric who is also a big traveler. so We can host a group of couchsurfer without any problem!
Personal philosophy:
"I am not trying to have an easy life but to be a stronger man" - JFK
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I participated in the CS project because like the Camp America Program I love meeting people from different origin and share the experience of travelling from the "inside" of the culture. For me CS is the best experience for this, and I love hosting people from all around the world!
For me it's like traveling while staying at home.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCES:
Amsterdam, London, Liverpool, York, Boston, New York City, San Francisco, Edinburgh, Newcastle, Leeds, Warsaw, Cardiff, Fort Smith.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favourite book will always be "The Last Day Of A Comdemned to death" by Victor Hugo.
It is a beautiful book against death penalty, it is a love declaration to life and Humanity.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
-Being picked up by Country international Star Shania Twain to sing on stage with her during her concert at Las Vegas' Caesar's Palace in front of 15 000 jealous people.... That was crazy...
-Creating my first charity to help orphans in Ethiopia by giving them school supplies. The name of the charity is "A pencil Case for Ethiopia".
What I Can Share with Hosts
ONE IMPORTANT THING:
I am on couchsurfing for the experience and really appreciate when my guests try to get involved, share their cultures, cook meals etc...
I will not require anything from any surfers but any involvement is better than no involvement at all. You have to keep in mind that I receive over 90 people every year...
Therefore it's always better to have people who want to have a great experience rather than people who just want to save money.
So, if you are sending me a request just because you need a place to stay but don't want to share anything. I think it would be better to ask somebody else. ;)
