About Me
CURRENT MISSION : "The pursuit of Happyness"
ABOUT ME :
Hey stranger !
I love communicating with people but in person! I'm pretty bad at filling blank cases in but I'll try to tell you a bit more about me and my CS experience.
I'm French but I have spent most time living/travelling abroad over the last 10 years. After a year living in the US (Exchange Program at the University of Oklahoma), I decided to go to Brazil without speaking a word of Portuguese ! I went there to do a second exchange program at the Federal University of Bahia for my Master's Degree. I ended up staying about 6 years in Brazil (in Salvador de Bahia and Rio de Janeiro). I'm now back in Paris.
PHILOSOPHY
I'm gonna quote Georges Moustaki in his "Ma Philosophie" / "My Philosophy" song :
"Nous avons toute la vie pour nous amuser
Nous avons toute la mort pour nous reposer !"
"We have all our life to have fun
We have all our death to rest!"
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I hosted several couchsurfers at my place in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil that I had met at the CS meetings before (not through the website). Whenever I have time, I make my guests have a tour of the city and I give them tips and recommandations.
In every city I moved in to, I always met most of my first friends through CS events. I also participated of several events and travels organized by the CS Community in Salvador and Rio.
When I travelled in South of France, we got to meet some really cool hosts we are still in touch until today :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I already knew the Couchsurfing concept before but I really got to discover it in Brazil, espcially in Salvador, Bahia. I realized it was WAY MORE than a free accomodation website.
The CS community in Salvador is awesome. They organize weekly meetings where locals and foreigners can meet. I hosted several travelers at my apartment that I had first met at the meetings or through friends of CS friends. I also attended to several great events and travels organized by the community.
