Open my eyes and discover new places and people !

Since my around-the-world trip it took a more introspective/spiritual aspect with a deep practice of yoga as I became a yoga instructor on the way.

ABOUT ME

When studying, I intended to work in the lingerie world and did so.
Then I worked in a start-up for high-end restaurants in London and Paris and I then embraced international perspective by working in Finance on the Forex market for 6 years.
I am passionnate by aestheticism and enjoy photography.

My main passion remains music and people around it. I listen to a lot of electronic music now, but used to be into old rock'n'roll, metal, jazz and folk music when I created this CS profile 10 years ago. (yeah I'm kind of a fossile in here now, but one that keeps on rolling !)
I simply love going to concerts and and festival 🎶😍

Since a few years my new passion is yoga, I am learning more and more about it every day am grateful to be a new Yoga Alliance teacher since I did my teacher training at the very beginning of my 3-year trip in India Rishikesh. 🇮🇳

August : Malaisia 🇲🇾 (CS friends, and Vipassana retreat in Kulim) and Singapore 🇸🇬 to meet my mum
September : Bali 🇮🇩 for some mother-daughter time & panchakarma
October : Cambodia 🇰🇭 - with friends from home and CS friends
November / December : Vietnam 🇻🇳 - with friends from home, from Vipassana

📍 In the paradise of Vang Vieng with its blue lagoons, caves, iconic limestones mountains 🏞💙⛰️🌴
that became home away from home, my safe place during the pandemic, and my temple for my yoga practice and teaching 🧘🏻‍♀️ 🙏
I was volunteering as a yoga teacher and travelling from time to time to explore the country while waiting for the borders to reopen and lived in a 4-star hotel during most of my time in Laos being the resident yoga instructor there as well as taking care of the hotel's social medias. 🇱🇦🇱🇦🇱🇦🇱🇦🇱🇦🇱🇦🇱🇦
Left Laos in October 2021 and traveled to France 🇫🇷 Turkey 🇹🇷 Spain 🇪🇸

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I discovered CS 10 years ago as I have travelling across UK during my Erasmus year in Glasgow, and met nice CSer that enabled me to do a nice trip in Olso too.
Later when I was living in London I met plenty of locals and fellow travelers in our regular CS meet ups and helped a few traveller's around the city and even hosted some of them that became friends of mine.
Then I went back to Paris, could help back some UK and Australian CS friends I had once visited!
I am now back on the road after 6 years of working full time and full on in Finance on the Forex market. I left my job November 2018 to be travelling full time for the next year or 2 and am meeting many fabulous people on the way!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed a lot the UK; a bit in Norway and Brittany, FR. I like to meet people, to discover new cultures, faces and tastes!

Used CS for both hangouts and a bit of surfing in Malaisia, and in Vietnam where I volunteered as an English teacher there living with Vietnamese students in HCMC.

Now back in Europe 🇪🇺 after living almost 3 years in Asia! 🥢

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-Watch the sunrise over the sea from Fraser Island (Australia) and the sharks & dauphins chasing their breakfast
-Being lost in the outback with my non English speaking dad when 13 years old - out of fuel - we ended up pushing the 4-wheels to get to the next village
-Having my wallet and ID stolen in a pub while dancing with a CS friend just the night before I was to take my Eurostars back to France (hopefully we didn't need visas back then 😘)
-Ate insects on a market in Thailand and later in Myanmar
-Following my brother into one of his great urges to have a meditation night and ending up into something a little bit too intense with a full on session focusing on .. DEATH
-Pretended I had a nipple piecing to keep my lighter in my bra while bipping at the boarding of an aeroport somewhere India
-Trekking around the Annapurnas over the 15 days trek circuit and enjoying the incredible scenery
-Sunrise and sunset over Bagan and it's unique view over it's thousands of temples
-Diving in Koh Tao as I was going for my Advanced, looking under the skirt of sea, finally getting to admire it's hidden treasures (getting attacked by trigger fish as we probably came too close to their nest, as I was going for my first - 18m dive and my instructor was checking I was not sea drunk!) 😃
-Becoming a yoga instructor when I had only taken the YTTC for the sake of deepening my own practice but by a series of event ending up replacing the yoga instructor at my eco lodge in Nepal 🇳🇵 and then enjoying sharing my practice with fellow travelers in hostels and with CS hosts until I volunteered and enrolled for a 2-month Yoga instructor position in Laos that ended up being extended into 1,5 year as Covid hit the world.

I later kept on teaching classes for the hotel owner and her new studio in Vientiane capital city before leaving Laos to return to Europe this October.
